During his academic training, Maarten developed into a social scientist with a strong interest in governance, public policy, and organizational issues. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam and went on to complete a master’s degree in Public Administration at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Throughout these studies, his specific interest emerged in the interaction between the public and private domains and the ways in which these spheres influence one another. Driven by this interest, Maarten enjoys delving into complex societal and organizational challenges, with attention to both substantive interests and the people involved.

Within Holtrop Ravesloot, he is particularly drawn to the analytical approach, the focus on context, and the integration of people and organizations. From this conviction, he enthusiastically begins his role as a research consultant, committed to realizing careful and future-proof matches within both the public and private sectors.
